      The Hon.Peter McNab (II) corresponded with author of the Cassels book and noted that " My mother's family came from Zurich, in Switzerland, to Halifax shortly after the first settlement of it (about 1750), when she was quite a child." Note that the reliability of this information is fairly good, as this is the son of Susannah Kuhn and only one generation removed from the event.
