      Waterville, Dec. 22 – Mrs. Rebecca Janet Timmins passed away at Blanchard-Fraser Memorial Hospital, December 19, following an operation, on December 3. She was born in Halifax, daughter of the late John and Janet (Hubley) Williams, seventy-four years ago. She married James Timmins in 1895 and moved to Waterville in 1908. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church,Waterville, and was active in church and community affairs. Her husband died in 1928 and a son Earl was killed in the First World War. Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Victor, Waterville; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Dalrymple, Kentville; Mrs. Harry Coughtry, Ottawa; two step-children, Mrs. Victor Margeson and William, both of Halifax; two brothers, Charles, Halifax, and James, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Darrison and Mrs. Irene Tummonds, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Betty Zwicker, Somerville Mass. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E.C. Sturge, were held this afternoon at St. Andrew's United Church, at 2 p.m. Interment was in family plot, Waterville. Pallbearers were James Durno, W.G. Durno, William Lyons, Roscoe Campbell, Arthur Ratchford and E.U. Hirtle. [2]

      The marriage of James Timmins and Mis J. Wiliams took place at 17 North St. Tuesday afternoon, the residence of the bride's father. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. Hockin. The bridge wore a white cashmere dress trimmed with satin, and veil with wreath of orange blossoms. The grooms present to the bridge was a "Gell" watch and chain.
