    Halifax Herald, 10 Nov 2012:
    POWER, Bruce Murray — Age 72, of Woodlawn, passed away on November 8th, 2012, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Bertha Sellars (formerly Pow­er) and the late James Power. Bruce worked for 28 years at the Heating Plant at CFB Shearwater. He loved outdoor activities, gardening, hunt­ing, fishing, bowling and travelling. He treasured his time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane (Jewers). Also survived by his daughters, Angela (Jonathan) Mitton of Lake Echo, and Jennifer (John) MacKinnon of Porters Lake; son, James (Michelle) of Dartmouth. He will be sadly missed by his grandchil­dren, Erica, Ian, Ashley, Julia, Maddi­syn, Alexander and Hanna. Also sur­vived by sister, Janet (Percy) Bonang of Porters Lake and brother, Peter (Ju­lie) of Dartmouth and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11 from 2-4 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home Dartmouth Chapel, 771 Main St. A service of Re­membrance will be held in Woodlawn United Church, Rev. Valerie Kennedy officiating, 54 Woodlawn Rd., Dart­mouth on Monday, November 12 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow service in Wood­lawn United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation or Woodlawn United Church.
